Overview: Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled Injection Moulding Setter to join their team as part of their internal promotion succession planning.

    Remit:
  • This role will suit a skilled Injection Moulding Setter or Technician who is looking to secure a day’s role with a forward-thinking company on an upward trajectory

  • Candidates MUST HAVE demonstrable experience in setting, conditioning and optimizing injection moulding machines
    Role:
  • In the role of Injection Moulding Setter you will be responsible for performing tool changes and setting of injection moulding machinery
  • As Injection Moulding Setter you will ensure that all tooing and machinery is regularly inspected in line with maintenance requirements
  • Monitor performance of all tooling and machinery, carrying out continuous improvements to deliver gains and efficiency
  • Carry out new tooling and material trialling
  • Identify potential and actual production issues and report all electrical and mechanical breakdowns to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager
  • Keep all production equipment operational to ensure efficient output to expected standards
  • Ensure all machinery set and ready for operation as per the Production Cell Manager’s plan
  • Play an active part in maintenance schedules and component replacement requirements
  • Responsible for carrying out pre-start checks on all machines prior to production commencement
  • Training & guidance of production staff in the correct use of machinery and equipment
  • Take accountability for first part acceptance in line with Quality and Regulatory requirements
    Experience Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience of machine setting and operation within an injection moulding manufacturing environment
  • Industry recognised injection moulding qualifications
  • Experience working within high volume manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of robotics and automation systems an advantage
  • Computer literacy
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Committed to learning and self development
