Role: Injection Moulding Operative (Night Shift Setter)
Location: Verwood, Dorset
Salary: £37,000 - £44,000 per year (DOE & hours)

With over 20 years' experience in developing custom moulded filtration products and plastic strainer solutions for demanding applications, Platinum Recruitment's client is a trusted name across multiple industries. They are now looking for a skilled Injection Moulding Setter to join their team on the night shift.

Negotiable hours - we'll work with you to find a pattern that fits, with some Monday - Thursday night shifts (18:00-07:00) required

What you'll be doing:

Carrying out mould tool changes safely and efficiently
Setting moulding machines, robots, and processing equipment to deliver quality parts at target production rates
Monitoring, identifying, and correcting moulding defects and process issues
Reporting tooling and machine issues requiring maintenance
Supporting and collaborating with the night shift team
Keeping accurate production and tooling records
Ensuring smooth handovers to day shift setters
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace

What we're looking for:

Industry-recognised injection moulding qualification (PTIC Level 2 essential; Level 3+ desirable)
Proven experience in tool changes, start-ups, shutdowns, optimisation, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with Battenfeld, Arburg, and/or Haitian machines up to 300T (advantageous)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and record-keeping skills
Team player with the ability to work independently
Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role
Previous night shift experience (desirable)
Residing within commuting distance of Verwood (or genuinely willing to relocate)
