Overview: Working our client, a market leading injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a senior operator/setter to join their established team.

    Remit:

  • As senior operator you are to ensure the Injection Moulding machines are set to the optimum conditions to produce quality components meeting company requirements and customer requirements.

  • Candidate must have experience in tool changing injection moulding setting.

    Role:

  • Optimising machine/ robot cycle times

  • To cover the shift leader during annual holidays

  • Execute colour, insert, printer and mould changes according to the production plan

  • Perform quality and material tests (MFI) on a regular basis according to instructions.

  • Implement appropriate corrective action when quality issues are reported by a machine operator.

  • Organise cover for breaks for and in co-operation with the machine operators.

  • Achieve low scrap rates, high productivity rates and minimal change over wastage.

  • Ensure detailed and correct documentation and recording is carried out.

  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor.

  • Ensure correct data records are input in the production sheets and highlight/report any discrepancies to the Shift Leader.

  • Ensure the correct loading/unloading of recycling material and new material into the correct silo.

  • Adhere to all Health & Safety rules and guidelines as notified.

    Experience Requirements:

  • The candidate must have plastic Injection Moulding experience

  • Experience in Tool changing and Process Setting experience

  • Experience with overhead crane operation

  • Must have a problem-solving mindset

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A conscientious attitude to work.
