Automotive Key Account Manager (Robotics / Factory Automation)
£65–75000 salary + car + BUPA + excellent bonus
Location: Midlands
As a Key Account Manager you will be representing the business promoting products and services providing sales support in response to end customer and systems integrators pre-sales inquires within automotive customers .
o Technical sales and product expertise, predominantly during pre-sales tendering phase but could also extend to post sales support.
o Provide product support and assessment of suitable application for robotic & factory automation products, ancillary tooling, aftermarket services, spares, consultancy services and training to automotive OEM customers.
o Support existing clients and develop new clients in order meet and exceed sales and revenue targets working closely with the Area Sales Managers, internal sales team and technical product specialists.
o Generate quotations and technical proposals that meet client requirements
Requirements:
The role requires an individual with both a driven personality and willingness to understand the technicalities of factory automation & robotic solutions as applied to improving the efficiency of automotive factories. You will already have a proven track record selling industrial factory automation/ robotic products into the manufacturing sector.
o Demonstrate successful sales career winning new business and growing existing automotive client accounts within the field of industrial automation/robotics/sensors
o Experience in managing projects, preferably in machinery or robotics with downstream automation of production processes
o Commercial ability relating to project costs and contracts, margins and sales pricing
o Qualifications to HNC/Degree level in an engineering practice, or have experience from a relevant field
o Positive attitude with desire to take ownership of territory and grow market share
