We at Randstad are seeking a dedicated Land Surveyor to join our team at the Chipping Warden site in Northamptonshire. In this role, you will support the Senior Land Surveyor in establishing and maintaining the site survey control network to report and validate different construction stages.

​You will be responsible for undertaking various surveys including land, topographic, hydrographic, and measured building surveys, utilizing a range of specialist equipment and technology such as robotics and 3D scanners. A key aspect of this role involves analyzing data using plans, maps, charts, and software like AutoCAD, Trimble Business Centre, and GIS programs. You will also be required to prepare survey drawings with the Senior Land Surveyor, present data to clients, and write comprehensive reports.

You will coordinate with Site Engineers regarding project priorities, including implementation, plan changes or deviations, unusual activities, non-conformance rectification work, and liaise with consultants for inspection and approval. Your duties will also include setting out and as-built surveys, carrying out Topographical and Engineering Surveys (Laser Scanner). You will
manage the registration and post-processing of Point Cloud Data, perform GNSS network surveying, precise traversing, and precise levelling for breakdown from primary survey control, and manage Drone surveys for earthwork measurements.

About The Candidate:

Key Skills and Qualifications:

HND/degree in Land Survey, or Geomatics, or equivalent.

Experience within a similar role and with similar values.

Experience in preparing survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

Expert knowledge of Trimble total stations, levels, and GNSS receivers.

Excellent AutoCAD skills to produce 2D and 3D drawings.

Good communication (both written and verbal) skills, with solid report writing and compilation skills.

Proficient in using survey software like Trimble Business Centre.

Must hold a driving license and have access to a vehicle.
