Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Team Leader to lead our manufacturing/production department. This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and minimising production downtime through proactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and equipment optimisation.

Key Responsibilities and Experience

Lead Engineering Team Maintenance & Repair

Carry out and lead morning meeting to ensure the engineering team know are all aligned with work schedules
Communicate effectively with team in order to maintain an effective well informed team.
Attend weekly TPM meeting to report reactive and planned maintenance
Liaise with the engineering manager and report added value issues that may arise throughout the day.
Prepare equipment schedules ready for the next job to ensure that equipment meets required specifications.
Oversee and assist in job changes, setting up and adjusting cold end and added value equipment as necessary in order to maintain efficient operations during and after production.
Identify and rectify maintenance faults to maintain efficiency and reduce downtime.
Complete and update systems with maintenance reports
Comply with Company Health and Safety Procedures in order to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure that all health and safety practices are adhered to and the risk assessments are followed.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
Understanding of electrical/engineering drawings and technical documentation
Understanding of preventive maintenance principles and practices
Conduct routine preventive maintenance and continuous improvement schedules
Provide technical support during job changes to minimise changeover downtime.
Collaborate with production teams to optimise equipment performance and troubleshoot operational issues.
Ensure safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of work performance.

Team Leadership & Communication

Communicate effectively with all department employees to maintain a well-informed and cohesive team.
Manage Shift team responsibilities, demonstrating leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Great customer relationship experience

Health, Safety & Compliance

Manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial equipment and machinery
May require working at heights using mobile elevated work platforms.
Work to Company Health and Safety Procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Experience & Qualifications

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications (Minimum NVQ Lv3 or equivalent)
Previous Leadership Experience - Proven track record in automated industrial maintenance and engineering team leadership.
Experience leading in automated manufacturing or production environment.
Proficiency in electronic communication methods and systems APS, SAP, WMS or similar
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Strong written communication abilities for documentation and reporting
Excellent verbal communication skills for team interaction and technical discussions
