Monday - Friday (Perm Nights / 8 hour shifts)

Job Summary: This role is fundamental in supporting the Distribution Centre to operate at its full potential, maintaining equipment to a high standard and keeping production/area downtime to an absolute minimum.

The Maintenance Technician will help maintain our service equipment and is responsible for day-to-day maintenance tasks, ensuring the Company's facilities provide a safe, secure clean and well maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with maintenance activity on shift to achieve prompt resolution of all issues minimising the impact in the operation particularly during peak operational activity. Will typically work on equipment such as (but not limited to): automated sorters, conveyors, sensors and motors
Prioritise and manage machine faults.
Establish best practice for machine printing
Support and develop OD&S internal applications.
Fix, maintain, and troubleshoot conveyor systems incorporating -Light sensors, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachos, and encoders.
To support and install automation machinery, move, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, transformers, and wiring methods and materials
Support the operations with best practices and LEAN methodology to improve and sustain performance.
Support other Engineering colleagues
Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels within the organisation and externally with suppliers.
Provide enriched feedback to enhance individual own performance.
Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment policies and other relevant regulations ensuring accurate recording and reporting of any incidents, accidents or near missesRequirements:

Apprenticeship / Electrical or Mechanical NVQ Lv3
Engineering experience
Experience in the following areas:
Automated conveyors systems and controls
Electrical and electronic principles
Blueprint and electrical schematic reading
Preventative maintenance procedures
Industrial electrical, controls, electronics

Knowledge of Statutory Compliance requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to disseminate information appropriately and communicate effectively with urgency and direction.
A positive and proactive approach to work with clear customer focus.
A team player with a positive "can-do" attitude, hard-working and willing to learn
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirementsWhat we offer:
