Maintenance Engineer

Orion is partnered with a fast-paced metal works manufacturing company who are recruiting for a confident electrically bias Maintenance Engineer to work on the Weekend night shifts.

Salary: £42,090

Shifts Continental – Friday, Saturday, Sunday Night shift – 34 hours total

Maintenance Engineer Duties:

To provide in-house services to production departments, offices, and buildings -Carry out some installation work.
Routine maintenance repairs to metal works and manufacturing machinery
Diagnose malfunction apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
Reactive machinery maintenance
Tests malfunctioning machinery and discuss problems with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance Manager and toolmaker, to diagnose malfunction.
Diagnose and replace faulty electrical or electronic components such as relays, switches, and motors.
Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery and equipment.
Requisition tools, equipment, new and replacement parts in Entering electrical panels to reset trip etc.
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work team.
Analyse and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
Inspect and test machinery and equipment.
Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
Install, program or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.Maintenance Engineer Experience:

C&G qualified electrician including 17th Edition Regulations
Proven working history in a manufacturing environment
Experience working in a foundry type environment
Engineering or mechanical experience
CNC Machinery
PLC programming and knowledge
Forklift licence (desirable)
Welding (desirable)
