A leading manufacturing business in Worcestershire is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work on a day hours basis, Monday to Friday. You will lead effective reactive and planned preventative maintenance works and ensure accurate record keeping.

Commutable from:  Worcester, Evesham, Malvern, Tewkesbury,

Salary: Excellent Salary plus benefits including paid overtime, pension and extended annual leave.

The Role

Working as part of a busy team across a large, multi-building site, the Maintenance Engineer will support planned and reactive maintenance including:

Supporting investigation and fault finding on PLC (Siemens/Omron)
Conduct inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
Checking electrical and hydraulic systems of equipment buildings and machinery to ensure functionality.
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities, consulting with subcontractors and external service providers where applicable.
Monitoring the equipment inventory and placing orders when necessary
Keeping accurate maintenance logs and report on daily activities
Maintaining the highest awareness of health and safety best practice.
 
The Person

The successful candidate for the Maintenance Engineer position will possess a proven record in manufacturing plant and operations maintenance including:

Proven experience as maintenance engineer/ technician
A recognised and relevant qualification to a minimum of NVQ L3 or equivalent.
Experience in planning maintenance schedules
Solid understanding of technical aspects of mechanical and electrical systems, including fault-finding with reference to schematics and to component level.
Working knowledge of factory operations including process equipment and related automation functions including PLC and robotic equipment.
Ability to keep track of and report on activity using a centralised system.
Excellent communication and people skills
Excellent organisational skills
