Join the UK’s leading water industry manufacturer as a Maintenance Technician.
Atlantic Plastics, part of the globally renowned AVK Group, is on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team at our Bridgend site. If you’re a proactive, hands-on engineer with a mechanical and/or electrical background, this is your opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our advanced manufacturing operations.

What you’ll be doing:



Conducting planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns across our injection moulding machinery and wider plant.

Supporting general site repairs and installations, including electrical and mechanical tasks.

*

Collaborating with Process Engineering and Quality teams to identify and resolve process issues and reduce downtime and scrap.

*

Operating machine tools and welding equipment to create or modify jigs, fixtures, and other tools.

*

Taking part in site projects, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

*

Ensuring all work is completed in line with EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.

What we’re looking for:

*

Previous experience in a maintenance technician role, ideally in a manufacturing or injection moulding environment.

*

A solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

*

Ability to fault-find and repair electrical systems, ideally holding 18th Edition certification.

*

Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, and automation systems is desirable.

*

Strong team player who’s adaptable, safety-conscious, and thrives under pressure.

Desirable qualifications:

*

Time-served with a minimum of C&G Engineering qualification.

*

HNC in Engineering.

*

PLC fault-finding/programming experience.
