Manufacturing Technician:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician to work a Double Day Shift pattern for a fantastic engineering company based in Fareham.
Introduction
The primary role of the Manufacturing Technician will be to run large complex computerised machinery and equipment, logging results and data and working to achieve high quality standards.
Responsibilities:

  • Running, setting and operating of large complex machinery and equipment
  • Fault finding and basic maintenance tasks on the equipment when required
  • Work to high quality standard to produce the products
  • Work to the site's health and safety procedures
  • Participates in 5S methodology and ensures work areas are clean, tidy and HSE compliant
    Ideal Experience:
    Although full training will be provided due to the complexity of the machines, equipment and controls, previous machining experience, especially with computerised controls is beneficial as well as a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
    Any previous experience or knowledge of engineering drawings or manufacturing experience would be ideal as well as a drive and ambition within engineering,
    The machinery used on site is semi-automated and have computerised controls, the machines and robots are set up, monitored and run by the Technicians and work to high quality standards. There is a lot of computerised controls and touch screens for the equipment.
    This Manufacturing Technician is a great opportunity to learn new skills and there is career progression opportunities for the right people, they are looking for someone to stay in the business long term and grow with them.
    Salary Including Shift Allowance - £33,800
    Hours: Early Shift 06.00 - 14.00, Late Shift 14.00 - 10.00
