    Based at our headquarters in Macclesfield, Cheshire, we have a small multi-disciplined, dynamic team designing and manufacturing high-value robotic machines for testing PCBs (printed circuit boards).
    The majority of our sales are to China and the USA, where we operate our own small factories and employ local teams to provide high-quality customer support.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Mechanical Fitter / Machinist who will play a crucial role in assembling, fitting and machining of electrical test machines.
    The role requires a hands-on approach, with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and precision.
    You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on teamwork and problem-solving, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and close-knit team.
    In addition to this, as our Mechanical Fitter / Machinist you will be responsible for:
  • Assembling and fitting mechanical components and sub-assemblies for Robotic test machines.
  • Manufacturing parts using milling machines and lathes along with other general workshop equipment to ensure product quality and precision.
  • Interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions to ensure components are correctly fitted.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborating with other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve machine performance.
  • Carrying out a multitude of assembly and fitting procedures with good dexterity as we have several assemblies that are quite small and precise.
  • Assisting in machine upgrades, modifications, and customizations as required.
    In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:
  • A qualified machinist/fitter with hands-on experience in mechanical fitting and assembly.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, and standard fitting techniques.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., assembly or mechanical fitting) within a manufacturing or engineering environment is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in an evolving industry.
