Salary: £35,000–£40,000 (DOE - flexibility considered for candidates with experience in .NET, C# and PLC programming )

A well-established automation and machinery manufacturer in South Manchester is looking for a Software / PLC Engineer to join its growing controls and automation team.

The company builds bespoke industrial automation systems and collaborates closely with external partners for advanced software (.NET / C#) projects. They’re now strengthening their internal capability and looking for someone who enjoys hands-on controls work- debugging, testing and improving existing PLC code.

The role



Supporting, debugging and modifying existing PLC programs (Siemens / Allen Bradley).

Testing, commissioning and troubleshooting control systems.

*

Collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure system performance and reliability.

*

Working with external software partners on larger integrations.

What you’ll bring

Background in PLC programming, controls engineering, or automation maintenance (industrial machinery, robotics, or process equipment).

Ability to read and interpret ladder logic and structured text.

Confident troubleshooting and problem-solving.
