    Remit:

    • This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled injection moulding professional to join a forward-thinking company who place the wellbeing and development of their staff at the forefront of the business

    • This position will suit an experienced Injection Moulding Setter or Technician looking to further their career within injection moulding

    • Candidates MUST HAVE several years’ experience within setting, conditioning and process optimisation of injection moulding machines and experience with a range of materials.

      Role:

    • In the role of Process Technician, you will provide a comprehensive support to the manufacturing team to ensure that all relevant processes are maintained to achieve output and business demands

    • Ensure Mould Setters and Production Operators are trained and developed to attain consistent skills standards and approach to quality, machinery and health and safety

    • Rectifies processing problems using fault finding skills and documents accordingly to ensure processes followed

    • Introduces new products into plant in a structured, timely and efficient manner

    • Monitors equipment, troubleshoots and takes preventative action to ensure machinery is kept in safe working order

    • Liaises with other department to ensure customer needs are understood and acted upon

    • Carries out continuous improvement on cycle times and machine layouts

    • Ensures optimisation of equipment and processes in conjunction with Continuous Improvement Manager

    • Deputises for Team Leader and/or Mould Setter roles on own shift and other shifts if necessary

    • Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained

    • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines including appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

      Experience:

    • Fully conversant with injection moulding processes

    • Strong fault-finding skills in both tools and product

    • Knowledge of ABB 6 axis and 3 axis robots an advantage

    • Good knowledge of health and safety, including COSHH

    • Strong problem-solving skills

    • Proactive approach to continuous improvement

    • Flexible approach to working hours

    • Strong communication skills across all areas
