Rubicon Consulting is a well established multi-million pound recruitment business supplying contract and permanent technical staff into the Energy, Telecoms and I.T. sectors.

The position in a nutshell:

You will be given a job description for a live role with one of our prestigious clients which will include a list of required and desirable qualifications, experience and skills as well as the pay rate.

Using job boards, social media and our extensive database of job seekers you will search for potential matches for the role, compile a list and then call them to gather information to assess their suitability and availability.

Once this is established, the chosen few will then be submitted to our client for consideration.

The process is then repeated for the next live vacancy and so on.

The person we want:

Recruitment resourcing isn’t rocket science but it does require a certain set of skills that are not just words but are meaningful qualities that we know combine to make a successful consultant.

Persistence, resilience, hard work, a good sense of humour and common sense are the foundations. You will be making a lot of calls every day and will need to be able to communicate in a natural way to both impart and receive and understand information. We don’t use scripts, we don’t employ robots. You’ll also need to have some basic IT skills as you will be using Microsoft Office plus our recruitment database on a daily basis.

Self-motivation, quick thinking, intelligence, good organisational skills, a commitment to providing great customer service, a desire to go above and beyond to make sure the job is done properly, a passion to push yourself to earn top commission and bonuses based on your performance. These are the qualities that make the difference between a successful consultant and an also ran.

You don’t need to have recruitment experience. If you’ve worked in telesales, customer service, estate agency, outbound telephone calling or any similar role where you are talking to people for most of your day, you’ll have a good chance of transferring those skills.

Similarly if you are a graduate looking for a career, recruitment is widely recognised and respected as a professional industry.

You don’t need to have a degree though. In fact, recruitment is one of the very few careers where you can learn on the job and very quickly earn the sort of salary you might expect to receive as a fully qualified engineer, accountant or solicitor.

What we offer:

Competitive, negotiable basic salary.

Regular ongoing salary reviews.

Individual, industry leading commission based on performance – calculated as a percentage of the revenue generated from the people you find.

Team bonus worth up to an additional 20% of your basic salary.

Formal training program in addition to on the job training by some of the most experienced and successful consultants in the industry.

Performance and team bonding incentives.

Private Health Insurance.

Pension

28 days holiday increasing based on length of service
