A creative and forward-thinking secondary school in Farnborough is recruiting for a Second in Department for Design & Technology to help lead a growing department focused on innovation, sustainability, and real-world design challenges.

The D&T department plays a crucial role in the school’s vision to prepare students for modern careers in engineering, design, and digital industries.

Your Role



Teach your specialism (Product Design, Graphics, or Resistant Materials) across KS3–KS5

*

Assist the Head of Department in developing curriculum schemes, resource management, and health and safety compliance

*

Lead project planning and support technical innovation, such as robotics, eco-design, and prototyping

*

Guide assessment, reporting, and student tracking to raise achievement

*

Oversee extracurricular design clubs, competitions, and trips to industry partners or exhibitions

Experienced D&T teacher with strong practical and theoretical knowledge

Committed to collaborative planning, student-centred learning, and inclusive practice

Skilled in leading or supporting projects and mentoring junior staff
