🔍 The Role

As a Structural Design Engineer, you’ll play a key part in delivering technical designs for steel-framed structures, foundations, and supporting temporary and permanent works solutions. You'll work closely with a tight-knit team of experienced engineers, developing detailed, practical designs for a wide array of projects.

Key responsibilities:

Design of steel-framed structures, foundations, and associated components
Support scaffold and temporary works designs with practical buildability in mind
Produce clear, accurate design calculations and drawings (AutoCAD and relevant software)
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and site operatives to ensure practical solutions
Carry out checks and verification of drawings and calculations
Attend site visits and design meetings as required
Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment with opportunities to learn and grow
✅ What We’re Looking For

Degree-qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering
3–7 years' experience in structural design (foundation and steelwork essential)
Proficient with structural analysis and design tools (e.g. TEDDS, Tekla TSD, Robot, or similar)
Comfortable reading and producing technical drawings using AutoCAD
Ability to think practically and provide buildable solutions
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Any experience in scaffold or temporary works design would be advantageous but not essential
Full UK driving licence
