Role: Structural Engineer

Location: Richmond

Salary: £35,000 to £52,000

We are currently working with a dynamic Civil & Structural engineering practice who are looking to expand their Structural Engineering team in Richmond.

The position would be suited to a well-rounded Structural Engineer who can identify innovative and cost-effective strategies and design solutions.

The successful candidate will be working with a highly motivated and committed team who successfully deliver an interesting and broad range of civil and structural engineering projects, within sectors such as healthcare, education and residential.

To be considered for the role you will require 2 to 5 years’ experience and have knowledge of the following:

  • Proficient in the use of structural software such as Robot, Tekla Structural designer & Masterseries

  • Be able to contribute to writing bids and fee proposals.

  • Assisting with or leading a variety of projects to completion undertaking integrated 3D modelling and structural design

  • Structural analysis with a particular focus on calculations in relation to loads and stresses

  • The examination of structures at risk of collapse and advise how to improve their structural integrity, such as recommending removal or repair of defective parts or rebuilding the entire structure

  • The structural design and detailing of foundations, retaining walls, buildings, for example

    In return you can expect a 37.5 hour week, with potential flexibility. Paid professional memberships fees. 22 days annual leave (in addition to bank holidays), and a discretionary profit and performance-related annual bonus.
