Job Description

Your overall objective is to help grow business in the UK by increasing awareness, commissioning and maintaining systems, and delivering customer excellence.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Commission, install, and maintain complex systems at customer sites (mainly automotive manufacturers and suppliers), on site at customer sites.

  • Manage service and maintenance requests.

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site.

  • Optimise and fine tune systems for peak performance.

  • Coordinate and communicate closely with customers to install new systems.

  • Prepare project documentation and conduct internal and customer training sessions.

  • Assist the Global team to integrate vision systems into our Smart Integrated Assembly offering.

  • Assist business development by increasing customer awareness through demonstrations and trials.

  • Support our Digital Marketing team to create wider customer awareness.

  • Be proactive and collaborative in your approach.

  • Some international travel may be required.

  • Assist our local Machine Vision team as required.

    What we are looking for

  • Completed vocational training, e.g. as a plant or energy electronics technician, mechatronics technician or further training as an automation specialist as a PLC or robot programmer or as an engineer (electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, information technology or computer science).

  • Motivation to learn/develop into a machine vision specialist role.

  • Ability to work in a team, social skills and a goal-oriented, structured way of working.

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
