Automation Service Engineer - The Role:

Provide expert-level technical support for PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systems across a variety of industrial sites
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system faults on-site
Lead and support commissioning activities and system upgrades
Contribute to full project life cycles – from Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) through to installation and final handover
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota, supporting critical operations for key customers

Automation Service Engineer - The Person:

HNC/Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent professional experience)
Practical experience with multi-vendor control systems – PLC & HMI are essential - with an ability to fault find and make small modifications - Siemens experience is key
Solid understanding of low-voltage electrical systems
Familiarity with project execution
Awareness of industrial cybersecurity and standards is an advantage
A solution-focused mindset and a proactive approach to troubleshooting
Excellent customer service and communication skills

This business has worked hard to maintain regionally focused teams of Engineers thereby cutting down the amount of nights away from home. As with any travelling role, you need to be prepared to support other regions as needed across the UK & Ireland.

They also offer flexible working hours to support a healthy work-life balance, a generous pension with employer contributions up to 10%, paid overtime, door to door travel time paid, fully expensed company car and 26 days holiday + bank holidays (with the option to buy/sell an additional five days).
