Controls Design Engineer – Automated Material Handling & Intralogistics (Hybrid – Adderbury)

Join a global leader in intelligent automation and intralogistics solutions as a Controls Design Engineer. This hybrid Adderbury-based role offers hands-on involvement in cutting-edge material handling projects across the UK, Ireland, Nordics, and wider EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA control systems (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal).
Develop, test, and validate PLC software in virtual environments.
Support commissioning, documentation, and CE compliance.
Interpret electrical schematics and assist with system integration.
Drive improvements in safety, quality, and project delivery.

Requirements:
HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Controls Engineering.
Proven experience in industrial automation or material handling.
Knowledge of Profinet, Profibus, Asi, or EthernetIP networks.
Experience in software testing and distributed control systems.
UK Driving Licence with travel flexibility (up to 60% UK & EMEA).
