Controls Engineer

About this Position:

We are supporting a leading systems integration business that delivers turnkey automation and control solutions across multiple sectors, including utilities and process industries. They are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of automation projects, with a focus on PLC and SCADA systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and modify PLC control systems to meet project requirements.
  
  
• Work on full project lifecycle activities, from specification and programming through to testing and commissioning.
  
  
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support on control systems during project delivery.
  
  
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure successful integration of automation solutions.
  
  
• Support documentation, including functional design specifications and test documentation.
  
  Experience Required:
  
  
• Strong experience with Allen Bradley PLCs.
  
  
• Proven background in control systems engineering, ideally within industrial automation or related sectors.
  
  
• Experience in the water industry would be advantageous but not essential.
  
  
• Familiarity with SCADA systems (Wonderware or Iconics) would be beneficial but not essential.
  
  
• Ability to work effectively within project teams and deliver to deadlines
