Controls Engineer – Automation

£competitive salary + Car Allowance + Bonus + Call-Out Payment

I'm working with a growing engineering business that designs, delivers and supports bespoke automated machinery and systems for customers across the UK.

This role offers the opportunity to be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial development and testing through to commissioning, customer handover and ongoing support.

The position combines office-based engineering work with planned site visits, giving you the chance to see projects through from concept to successful delivery.

The role includes:

*

PLC and HMI software development

*

System testing, commissioning and fault finding

*

Factory and site acceptance testing

*

Customer training and project handover

*

Ongoing technical support and system improvements

*

Working closely with engineers, project teams and customers throughout project delivery

There is an on-call support rota shared across the engineering team, with a significant proportion of support activities handled remotely.

The business offers a collaborative environment where engineers are encouraged to contribute ideas, take ownership of projects and play an active role in delivering high-quality solutions.

We're interested in speaking with engineers who have experience in areas such as:

*

Industrial Automation

*

Special Purpose Machinery

*

Automated Production Equipment

*

Systems Integration

*

Manufacturing Equipment

You'll ideally have experience of PLC-based control systems and be comfortable working directly with customers during testing, commissioning and project delivery activities.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available
