  Company Overview:
  The company designs and manufactures bulk material packaging machinery, specialising in conveyors and full automation solutions.
  
  Reason for Role:
  The company is looking for a design engineer to fill this vacancy urgently and continue expanding its design and manufacturing capabilities. They are very busy with current and new business and looking to expand with this high product demand.
  
  Key Responsibilities:
  
  

Design and develop new packaging machinery and automated systems, including conveyors and robot palletizing systems.

Modify existing designs to improve efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.

3.

Collaborate with the project engineering team for system integration and mechanical design.

4.

Work with customers as needed to bring projects from design through to production, including handling custom machinery and system integration.

Ensure all designs adhere to in-house standards, maintaining a focus on safety and functionality.

Essential Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience in machinery design (preferably packaging machinery or similar).

*

Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (Desirable) but open to seeing other CAD packages willing the experience is relevant.

*

Strong understanding of machinery, conveyors, pneumatics, and bulk material handling systems.

*

Ability to manage and oversee projects, from design to integration, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Experience/Skills:

* A degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, though an HNC/HND qualification is acceptable.

* Experience with project management in design and system integration.

* Hands-on engineering background, such as service engineering or mechanical breakdown experience
