Electrical Design Engineer

Our client is an established manufacturer of special purpose machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Design Engineer.

The Electrical Design Engineer will produce electrical control panel designs and schematics for special purpose machinery.

The Role:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical control panels for a wide range of automated machinery and robotics.
Duties will include but is not limited to the following;

Produce electrical control panel designs and schematic drawings for special purpose machinery using AutoCAD electrical
Prepare BOM's
Basic project management and provide technical support during build phase
Ensure accurate documentation and drawing control
Provide remote and onsite technical support for customers and field engineersCandidate:

The Electrical Design Engineer will have excellent electrical / schematic design and engineering skills,.

You will have excellent AutoCAD electrical (or similar) skills and you will be experienced in the design of control panels for automated machinery.

Candidates with a good knowledge and understanding of PLC/HMI software e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or Omron will be beneficial.

You will have a recognised qualification in electrical design / engineering e.g. NVQ 3, HND, 18th edition.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 40 hrs
