About The Role

Working within a highly driven export sales team, you will focus on a set region and be responsible for:

* Attending 4-6 customer visits per year, this could include both End Users or Key Distributors across your region, central Europe and Asia. (Each trip is usually 4-5 days)

* Supporting and growing 6-10 high performing distributor accounts along with some lower performing partners.

* With the support of the Applications Engineering team, you will develop direct end user customers across the territory within industries such as Medical, Electronics, Precision Engineering, Aerospace and Automotive manufacturing.

* Delivering virtual product presentations to customers along with distributor training.

* Selling my client's range of precision instruments.

* Working to performance KPIs across lead generation, financial, client meetings etc.

* Motivating distribution partners and forecasting their expected performance.

* Attending industry exhibitions and events within your territory (1-2 pa) to build market knowledge, unearth leads, and gain competitor analysis.

* Operating in 50% existing and 50% new business role, split equally across distribution and end user sales.

* Virtually presenting and demonstrating my client’s instruments discussing the features and benefits it has to offer.

* Securing sales of instruments with an individual value of up to £50K with a typical sales cycle time of 1 to 6 months.

* Following up on leads and inquiries from your territory.

* Building lasting relationships with Process Engineers, Engineering Managers, Quality Managers, Procurement, Senior Engineers, Manufacturing and the local distributor sales team.

* Understanding clients' application challenges and providing instrument solutions that are fit for purpose.

About You

You must be driven to grow regional performance and possess a minimum of 2 years' experience within a technical sales role, this could be within a mechanical, electrical, electronic or mechatronic discipline.

Any experience in areas such as metrology, surface analysis, optical imaging, microscopy, 3D Measurement, CMM, coordinate measuring machines, hardness testers, oscilloscopes, robots, cobots, inspection, materials testing, materials characterisation, indenters, vision inspection, optical inspection, non-contact measurement or affiliated technology would be highly beneficial, but not essential.

We are receptive to Field Sales professionals, but also Internal Sales professionals who wish to gain in person experience with clients. This experience could be either End User or Distributor focussed.

Other key requirements include:

* Comfortable with the pace of short sales cycles.

* Good negotiation skills.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence decision makers.

* Well organised with strong pipeline management skills.

* Driven and dynamic sales approach.

* The ability to build trusting relationships with clients and understand their application needs.

* Willingness to learn and develop.

* Right to work in Ireland (sponsorship is not offered)
