Due to continued growth and investment in the UK market, they are seeking a Field Sales Engineer to develop and manage business across the East Midlands.

The Role

Covering the East Midlands region, you will be responsible for developing new business while strengthening relationships with existing OEM and key industrial customers.

This is a consultative, solution-led technical sales role where you will work closely with design engineers, production teams and procurement to deliver engineered motion solutions tailored to each application.

Key Responsibilities



Develop and execute a structured territory plan across the East Midlands

Identify and win new OEM and project-based opportunities

*

Provide technical consultation on bearings, linear motion systems and mechatronic assemblies

*

Work closely with customers at design stage to support specification and product selection

*

Conduct site visits, technical presentations and application reviews

*

Liaise with internal technical and engineering teams to deliver optimised solutions

*

Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial agreements

*

Manage pipeline activity through CRM and report on territory performance

*

Represent the business at exhibitions, industry events and technical seminars

You will be engaging with customers across a diverse range of sectors including robotics, factory automation, aerospace, renewables, material handling, precision machinery, medical equipment and advanced manufacturing.

The Person

We are seeking a technically credible, commercially minded individual who enjoys building relationships and influencing at engineering level.

This role would suit someone who is driven, proactive and keen to build a long-term career within a global engineering leader. It offers significant scope for development and progression within a structured international organisation.

Requirements

*

Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Examples: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering

*

Strong understanding of mechanical transmission systems, bearings, linear motion or mechatronics

*

Knowledge of industries such as robotics, automation, aerospace, renewables or material handling

*

3–5 years’ experience in technical sales or

*

An Application Engineer Sales Engineer seeking to transition into an external, customer-facing sales role

*

Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions clearly

*

Commercial awareness and a consultative approach to selling

*

Full UK driving licence
