Installation / Projects Manager – Automated Manufacturing

The Opportunity

We’re working with a fast-growing, forward-thinking manufacturing business that is building a brand-new, fully automated production facility in Buckinghamshire / Hertfordshire.

The company specialises inon-demand manufacturing, using innovative technology and automation to replace traditional production methods.

This is a greenfield project role, giving you the opportunity to play a key part ininstalling, commissioning, and scaling a brand-new site from the ground up.

The Role

This is a hands-oninstallation and projects-focused role, responsible for delivering new machinery installations and supporting the site as it ramps up production.

You will be:

  • Installing and commissioningnew production lines and bespoke machinery
  • Working withautomation systems (PLC / HMI / SCADA)
  • Setting upconveyors, material handling and packaging equipment
  • Supportingrobotics and automated workflows
  • Relocating and installing existing assets/machinery from other sites into the new facility
  • Managing contractors and coordinating installation activities on-site
  • Bringing equipmentonline from install through to full production

You’ll also be working on additional machinery such as:

  • Automated printing/recording systems
  • Labelling and finishing/packaging machinery

You’ll start with around3 production units per month, scaling to 5–6, supporting the growth of the facility.

About You

We are looking for candidates with a strong background ininstallations, projects, or commissioning within manufacturing or industrial environments.

Experience with the following is highly desirable:

  • Installation / commissioning of machinery or production lines
  • Automation systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI)
  • Conveyors, robotics, or material handling systems
  • Managing contractors or leading installation projects
  • Mechanical or electrical engineering background
