Shift patterns available for the Maintenance Engineer:

Double days:

  • Week one (6:00am – 14:00pm)

  • Week two (14:00pm – 22:00pm)

    What’s on offer for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Salary up to £42,588 p.a. + shift allowance

  • 33 days holiday (Inclusive of BH’s)

    Due to continued growth Next Generation are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work with a well-established engineering company based near Spark hill. As the Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for providing critical theoretical and technical knowledge whilst implementing innovative improvements in complex and unpredictable situations.

    Duties of the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Conducting diagnostic investigation

  • Maintain and repair assembly and ancillary equipment in a safe and productive manner in order to maximise availability at optimum cost.

  • Adhere to the preventative maintenance programmes to ensure that unplanned downtime is to a minimum.

  • Defining key critical spares (budget control)

  • Improvement projects to drive sustained solutions

  • Root Cause Analysis to successfully implement Permanent Corrective Actions

  • Liaise and support engineering / Projects with the buy off process and new part introduction, highlighting snagging and influencing improvement plans.

    The successful candidate for the Maintenance Engineers position will have the following experience:

  • 3 – 5 year’s experience as a Maintenance Engineer (Essential)

  • Fault, finding Robotics (Essential)

  • Fault finding, carrying out preventative maintenance (Essential)

  • Experience with Siemens S7 (Essential)

  • Fanuc / ABB qualification or equivalent
