Our client, part of a renowned international audio group, produces some of the most respected and recognized products in the sound industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a forward-thinking Production Engineering team in Worthing, supporting the reliability, performance, and improvement of cutting-edge manufacturing operations.

Job Overview

  • Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns and process failures, diagnosing faults and restoring production functionality.

  • Deliver preventative and reactive maintenance programs across production equipment, robotics, and plant machinery.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for risk reduction and process improvement within manufacturing.

  • Supervise and develop direct reports, including work allocation, performance appraisals, and training.

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operation of all systems.

  • Support weekend and late-shift work as required to maintain critical manufacturing uptime.

    Requirements

  • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent time-served experience.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in machine maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience supervising and managing team performance.

  • Confident in mentoring and supporting junior employees and apprentices.

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.

  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine shop equipment.

  • Familiarity with CNC machinery, robotics, and electromechanical systems advantageous.
