Location: Skelmersdale, WN8
Pay: £25.35 per hour inclusive of 30% shift allowance, equivalent to £50,0916 per annum
Hours:
Mon–Thurs: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm
Fri: 6am–12pm / 11am–4.35pm
Nights (when and if required): Mon–Thurs, 9pm–6:30amContract Length: Temporary for 11 months
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician with at least 2 years’ experience in machine maintenance to support our production team in Skelmersdale. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Duties

Preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs
Process monitoring and in-line quality checks (SPC)
Support production to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets
Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings
Build strong relationships with on-site teams
Skills & Experience

Time-served or NVQ-qualified in maintenance (electrical/mechanical)
Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC fault-finding (Omron preferred)
Robotics experience (ABB preferred; training available)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Self-motivated, able to work independently
Willing to work night shifts when required
Desirable

Experience with Omron vision systems
Knowledge of injection moulding, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Root cause analysis and Health & Safety awareness
