About the Role

As an Engineering Maintenance Technician, you will play an imperative part in supporting the pre-planned and reactive maintenance within our state-of-the-art automated fulfilment centre in Bicester.

What you will be doing

  • carry out maintenance on production equipment in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
  • Diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and action repairs where possible.
  • Update engineering records, including all work carried out, as well as supporting the identification of root cause of failures. Confirmation of spares and consumables will be part of your role along
  • Ensuring the Computerised Maintenance Management System is updated with accurate data to meet Engineering KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to analyse engineering failures and find solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) performance.

You will work on a days based shift pattern totally 42hours per week, working Monday to Friday 10:30 to 19:00Hrs (Finish 18:30 on a Friday) to support our operation

About you

  • A formal engineering related qualification would be advantageous
  • You will have a basic technical understanding relating to automation hardware and software would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem solving ability
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with good organisation skills and ability to prioritise are essential
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, conveyors would be advantageous
