PLC Engineer - Contract

Questech are recruiting on behalf of our client in Wakefield.

Contract - PLC Engineer who can focus on designing, developing, and maintaining automated control systems, including programming and configuring PLCs, SCADA systems, and other automation technologies.

Must be available immediately

The Person:

• Qualified to HNC/D level in Electrical Engineering, or possess an equivalent qualification, with time served or a suitably recognised qualification in electrical/control engineering.
  
  
• Must also be good with robots and cobots.
  
  
• Demonstrable practical experience in both reactive and preventative electrical maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  
  
• Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and experience in relevant software (e.g. design and calculation software)
  
  
• Solid understanding of PLC programming and fault finding
  
  
• Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and expertise in WCM/TPM techniques.
  
  
• Ensure that all Control & Electrical assets are maintained in accordance with the company’s requirements and in compliance with relevant statutory health & safety and environmental legislation.
  
  The shifts are Monday to Friday - Nights - 8 hours
  
  The rate will be £45.00 per hour
