ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our Client is a fast-growing FinTech company developing cloud-based SaaS platforms for financial institutions across the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

Backed by a $1 billion investment firm based in San Francisco, the business has enjoyed another strong year, achieving 25% revenue growth whilst continuing to invest in its technology, people and international expansion.

Having operated successfully for over 30 years, the company offers the stability and experience of an established business, combined with the energy of a start-up experiencing rapid but sustainable growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a strong QA Engineer to join a close-knit team of circa 5 QA professionals that are working alongside team of 10-15 Software Engineers.

Quality is taken very seriously here. In the 30 years our client has been in business, their software has never caused a day’s disruption for their customers. Their reputation for reliability is hugely important to them.

This role will focus primarily on Test Automation (60%), alongside, of course, manual and exploratory testing. You’ll develop and maintain automated test suites, improve test coverage, and work closely with the wider product team throughout the full SDLC.

The business is also exploring how AI and Agentic Testing can improve its QA processes, so previous experience using AI within software testing would be a real advantage.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 3+ years' commercial experience within Software Testing / Quality Assurance
  • Strong hands-on experience in test automation using Cypress + TypeScript/JavaScript, although experience with Playwright or Selenium will also be considered.
  • Experience testing SaaS products is crucial
  • Solid Manual Testing fundamentals, including regression, exploratory, E2E testing, UAT
  • Experience with REST API Testing using Postman
  • A quality-first mind-set, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile development practices
  • ISTQB certification (desirable)

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

The team are remote-first but do like to get together frequently in Bath. The successful candidate will ideally be reasonably local to the South-West.
