Senior AWS Data Engineer

I am working with a leading organisation that is embarking on a greenfield initiative to revolutionise how their data is accessed and utilised. As part of this transformation, they're looking for a highly skilled Senior AWS Data Engineer to join their team and help design and build a cutting-edge data platform.

This is a rare opportunity to work on a high-impact project, collaborating with multiple business units and leveraging modern technologies such as Databricks and Snowflake. You'll be at the forefront of solving complex data pipeline challenges while contributing to strategic data architecture decisions.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas:

Design and build scalable data pipelines using AWS technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions
Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and security
Process and analyse large datasets using Python and SQL
Support the deployment and optimisation of data platforms including Databricks and Snowflake
Contribute to the development of the organisation's data strategyTo be successful in the role you will have:

Extensive hands-on experience with AWS data engineering tools
Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and security principles
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and analysis
Experience working with market data and its applications
Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, and other modern data platforms
Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts is a plusThis is a hybrid role based in London up to three days per week, with the rest of the week spent working remotely. Some of the benefits included with the role are listed below:

Starting salary of up to £125,000
Discretionary, uncapped bonus scheme
10% company pension contributions
