To drive this mission forward, we are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead and develop forward-thinking material handling solutions, integrating mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering with automation and software-driven solutions.
This Senior Industrial Engineer will own the design, development, and implementation of scalable, high-performance logistics and material handling systems.

The role will require a strong background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation and automatic system optimization to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our operations. It offers a clear path for career growth, with opportunities to lead strategic initiatives and contribute to Amazon's long-term technology roadmap.

This role includes European and global travel, offering a unique opportunity to work in a real international environment.

This position can be based in Milan (Italy), Berlin (Germany), Paris (France), London (GB), Madrid (Spain), Luxembourg.

Key job responsibilities
• Design and develop engineering solutions for complex material handling challenges, integrating mechanical design, automation, and controls.
• Improve and develop scalable, efficient machines and processes for large-scale deployments.
• Lead and coordinate concept and design efforts, including equipment specifications, material flow, safety, ergonomics, and operational needs from design phase to FAT
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to create solutions that drive efficiency and scalability.
• Manage and execute high-visibility projects, influencing stakeholders across business units and regions.
• Provide technical leadership for large-scale projects, ensuring operational excellence and compliance.
• Conduct post-mortem reviews on deployed designs to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics, Lean methodologies, and Six Sigma principles.
• Maintain technical specifications, SOPs, and operational guidelines.

Industrial Integration:
• Integrate mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring seamless hardware and automation interaction.
• Collaborate with controls engineers and software developers to optimize automation strategies.
• Design mechanical systems with the highest industrial standard and ensure machine interface and systems integration
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of automation equipment to ensure high uptime.
• Implement robotics and AI-driven automation solutions to enhance efficiency.
