Opus Vitae is recruiting for a Senior Setter / Senior Operator to join a leading manufacturer in Telford, investing in innovation and growth. This role is all about ensuring injection moulding machines are set up to run at optimum performance, producing high-quality components efficiently and safely.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be key to minimising downtime, improving productivity, and keeping quality standards at the highest level.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Setting injection moulding machines to achieve the best possible cycle times and quality output

  • Carrying out tool, mould, colour, insert, and printer changes in line with the production plan

  • Running quality checks and material tests (MFI), taking corrective action when needed

  • Supporting the Shift Leader and covering in their absence (e.g. annual leave)

  • Monitoring productivity, scrap rates, and changeover efficiency

  • Keeping accurate production records and reporting discrepancies

  • Ensuring safe loading/unloading of recycling and new materials into silos

  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping and working safely at all times

    What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in plastic injection moulding

  • Skilled in tool changing and process setting

  • Ability to operate overhead cranes

  • Problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills

  • Conscientious, reliable, and safety-conscious

    It’s a bonus if you’ve worked with:

  • Engel or Krauss machinery

  • Kuka robotics or automation systems
