We are looking for an enthusiastic Structural Engineer to join a busy team in a stunning Cornwall location. The right candidate will ideally have a minimum of 3-4 years post-graduation experience following completion of a degree recognised by the IStructE or ICE.

This practice has a talented team covering structural engineering and architecture and work with architects across the region as well as a number of highly respected London based firms.

Experience with design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, Robot etc. will be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and other design teams

Running your own projects

Developing your existing design abilities while learning new skills such as project management

Managing a team of Graduate Engineers and Technicians

Producing design packages in all traditional materials including; steel, RC, timber and masonry

Attending company and industry networking events

Structural surveys and report writing

You will work in an engineering team producing calculations, drawings and details for projects ranging from small domestic alterations to multi million pound new builds. Working independently as well as part of a team, depending on the project. Good communication is essential, as well as a practical approach and construction knowledge. A driving license and own transport are essential.
