The Cranial Spine business at Medtronic develops life-restoring technologies and solutions to treat diseases in the areas of Neurosciences, Neurosurgery and Spine. Our therapies span the care continuum; from early interventional procedures to implantable surgical.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within London area by building and nurturing relationships with spine surgeons and non-clinical stakeholders

  • Drive revenue growth for core spinal and biologics portfolio whilst developing relationships with key spine surgeons and non-clinical stakeholders

  • Attaining clinical competency in the Medtronic CST portfolio to establish yourself as a sales expert, providing exceptional value during surgical case coverage to both surgeons and patients

  • Creating and implementing a strategic business plan focused on capturing new business from hospitals currently using competitors’ products

  • Offering after-hours and weekend case support when necessary

  • Delivering clinical implant support in theatre settings using the full range of Medtronic products, including navigation, robotics, O-arm, and Midas drills

  • Providing troubleshooting support to the field sales force and customers as needed

  • Planning and supporting clinical and technical training and education programs, incorporating input from the Sales Manager and other relevant functional groups (e.g., marketing, regulatory, education) aligned with the District Business Plan

  • Preparing study materials, organizing, and conducting customer training sessions for physicians, technicians, and nurses, in collaboration with the District Sales force/network team

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in the medical device industry or a hospital operating room (OR) environment

  • Proven capability to work effectively within a matrix environment, collaborating with sales teams, physicians, nurses, and hospital technicians in an OR setting

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse range of personalities and roles, primarily at the operational level in hospitals

  • Flexibility to accommodate an adaptable work schedule and possession of a valid driver’s license
