Trainee Service Engineer

£28,000 to £30,000 + Overtime + Progression + Specialist Training + Company Van + Company Benefits

Northallerton, Yorkshire (Thirsk, Darlington, Richmond, Leyburn, Middlesbrough)

Are you looking to start a long term engineering career with full training, progression opportunities and the chance to work within a growing specialist industry?

This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company offering structured training, excellent support and clear progression into senior engineering and leadership roles.

In this role, you'll train alongside experienced engineers, learning how to service and maintain specialist robotic equipment across the region. Once trained, you'll work independently in the field, visiting farms, diagnosing faults and building strong relationships with customers.

The company are a global leader within their industry, with a strong reputation for training, staff retention and long term career development.

This role would suit someone practical and hands on, who enjoys working outdoors and is comfortable in rural or agricultural environments, looking for a long term career with excellent progression and training opportunities.

The Role:

  • Servicing and maintaining robotic systems
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Visiting customer sites across the region
  • Shadowing experienced engineers and completing specialist training
  • Annual pay reviews + Performance bonus scheme
  • Mon - Fri | 8:30 - 4:30 | 40 Hours

The Person:

  • Keen to learn and develop within engineering
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Practical and hands on mindset
  • Comfortable working outdoors and around livestock
  • Any mechanical, agricultural or engineering experience would be beneficial
