This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.

Role Summary:

At Alliance Healthcare, a Cencora company, we are united in our responsibility to create healthier futures. As a warehouse operative within our brand-new, state-of-the-art Central Logistics Centre (CLC), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a warehouse that features advanced automation and cutting-edge robotics. This multi-skilled role involves working with innovative automated systems, managing goods inwards and outbound operations, and contributing to the accurate and timely processing of customer orders, all while upholding the highest standards of efficiency and compliance.

Location: Gravelly Hill, Birmingham

Rate of Pay: £13.10 per hour

Hours of Work: Full Time - Day Shift until May 2026, then moving onto AM Shift (6am-2pm, Flexibility over 7 days will be required on a rota basis working 5 days per week)

Key Responsibilities:

*

Operate warehouse management systems (Knapp and Manhattan) with precision and attention to detail.

*

Perform order fulfilment tasks such as loading/unloading delivery vehicles, picking, packing, and shipping orders using automated systems and forklifts.

*

Conduct inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure proper stock rotation based on expiry dates (FEFO).

*

Handle the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in line with Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements.

*

Work in refrigerated environments and secure areas as required, ensuring products are stored and handled according to regulatory and quality standards.

*

Be comfortable working at height, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.

*

Achieve productivity targets and KPIs while minimising product damages, order shortages, and pick errors.

*

Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues with automated systems.

*

Support cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements.

*

Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

*

Assist in training new team members and participate in programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:

*

Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.

*

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

*

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

*

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.

*

Good verbal communication skills and basic written, numeracy, and literacy skills.

*

Flexible attitude with the ability to work shifts and varying temperatures.

*

Comfortable working at height and in varying warehouse conditions.

*

Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365.

Desirable:

*

Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and automated technologies.

*

FLT licence (Counterbalance/Reach truck/Ride-on pallet truck) preferred but not essential—training provided.

Basic understanding of shipping processes and inventory management.
