£55000-£60000 per annum

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist to begin work for a leading business in Bordon, Hampshire. The idle candidate will be helping in Programming, Setting, and Operating 3 and 5 axis CNC and manual machines

Key Tasks:

Working within the Composites Manufacturing team and liaising closely with the Design Office you will have the opportunity to play a part in delivering high quality components to tight deadlines for flight assembly and integration.
The manufacturing of high precision Composite (Carbon and Metallic) components using 3 and 5-axis CNC Milling Machine.
CNC off-line programming using Autodesk Power Mill and Feature Cam CAD/CAM software tools.
Liaise with Project Engineers and other Engineering Teams to ensure deadlines and specifications are achieved.
Attend engineering Peer Reviews to ensure design for manufacture methodology observed.
Attend regular team meetings.
There will be occasions when Manual Machining operations will need to be performed.

Experience:

Ideally from a machining or similar background.
Experience of machining components in a High Precision, High Value, and Low Volume environment, ideally Aerospace.
CNC Off-Line Programming using Solid Works, Autodesk Power Mill and Feature Cam CAD/CAM software tools preferred, but not essential, as training will be provided.

Key Skills:

Flexible and enthusiastic with a can-do approach.
Problem solver.
Capable of working from Engineering Drawings and Solid Works models to High Standards and Close Tolerances, attention to detail is essential
Good communication skills working within a small team.
