On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a CNC Machinist for a 12 month contract based in Annesley.

Job description - the role

The Role of a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician is to process product using various techniques, that require a time served apprenticeship and experience of machining, inspection and NDT, as set out by technical instructions, Inspection Procedure cards, Engineering drawings and specifications.

As a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician you will:

A team member can fill any shopfloor role within the facility. Carrying out machining, inspection NDT, Linear friction welding, Inertia welding, Furnace, Bino inspection and Robotic polishing on a variety of Blades, Discs, Blisks and Drums.
Set up and run programmes, working to technical instructions and sentencing accordingly.
Work closely with support functions.
Ensuring safe working practices are adhered to at all times.
Maintaining high levels of 5S, Housekeeping and Asset care
You must be able to work a shift pattern which can consist of regular days, 2 shifts, 3-shifts or a 4-shift pattern depending on workload. Whilst most areas operate on a 3-shift basis, you must be flexible to the business needs.Who we are looking for:

Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols for washing engineering components.
Previous experience in component cleaning or washing processes.
Hands-on mechanical experience in a similar operational or manufacturing role.
Experience working within the aerospace industry is highly desirable.
Proven ability to adhere to strict procedures and standards in a regulated, quality-controlled environment.Next steps
