CNC Programmer / Applications Engineer

We are searching for an experienced Fanuc CNC Programmer. My client are a well established supplier of CNC machine tools and robot automation cells, selling to manufacturing businesses through the UK and Ireland.

The ideal candidate must have a strong background in CNC programming and be available to stay away during the week as required.

Experience in robot programming is desirable but not essential - we are looking for someone eager to learn and develop automation skills on the job. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with industrial robots, allowing you to integrate CNC machines with robotic automation and progress into a more advanced role in manufacturing automation.

Responsibilities:

  • The role is project based requiring working away during the week on customer sites in the UK and Ireland. Potentially 2-3 weeks in a row, home at weekends.

  • To set and program CNC machines industrial robots within the factory for factory acceptance testing

  • Customer witness testing and training

  • Set up automation cells at customer sites and conduct on site customer acceptance testing

  • Troubleshooting and optimizing performance.

    Training will be provided as required on Robot programming, PLC programming, and automation software development

    38 hour week

    Requirements

  • Available to stay away Monday to Friday as required

  • Fanuc programming experience is essential

  • Siemens or Heidenhain is beneficial

  • A time-served engineer with at least 5 years' experience as a CNC programmer, turning and milling machine tools applications

  • A qualified engineer with recognised apprenticeship

  • Driving license with no more than 3 points

  • Salary upto £50K

  • Hybrid company car, fuel card, company credit card

  • 25 days holiday + BH

  • 8% pension, private medical, life assurance

  • Overnight bonus after 4 nights per calendar month
