Controls Systems Engineer – Packaging Machinery

Location: Bristol

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Pension + Bens

Days Based - Monday to Friday

The Company

My client is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of packaging solutions to the engineering and manufacturing industries with over 80 years of experience, the group has gone from strength to strength on a global level and continue to grow through product innovation and a reputation for excellence. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit a mechanical design engineer from their Bristol office.

Key Attributes

  • Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience of PLC Systems & Automated Machinery

  • Experience servicing and commissioning complex automated products

    Key duties

  • Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget.

  • Electrical, software design of customized solutions including manufacturing automation and safety systems.

  • Analyse project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, and motor controls.

  • Support the manufacture, build and validation of systems

  • Creation of SOP's, documentation, user manuals

  • Support the sales teams with budgets

  • Modification of customer systems on request

  • On site commissioning

    Key Skills

  • Electrical engineering qualification, minimum HNC, degree qualification desirable

  • Experience of writing software consisting of complex PLC code controlling 20+ Servos, Variable frequency drives and multiple HMI’s

  • Proficient with Allen Bradley Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000 & Factory Talk, Siemens S7, TIA software

  • AutoCAD Electrical
