The Opportunity
Are you a recent or soon-to-be graduate with a passion for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence?
Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing specialist lender with over 25 years of market experience, is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Graduate Data Scientist to join their dynamic Data & Analytics team.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful impact using AI and machine learning techniques in real-world business scenarios from day one.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Data Analytics, this is a hands-on role where you will design, build and test advanced models that influence key business decisions. The role offers flexibility and autonomy in how you approach problems, making it ideal for self-motivated individuals who are curious, analytical, and solution-driven.

Key Responsibilities:



Build and maintain clean, scalable data pipelines alongside the wider data team

*

Design and test ML models to support decision-making across the business

*

Research and recommend how AI/ML can improve internal processes and efficiencies

*

Support ad-hoc data analysis requests alongside the Data Analyst team

*

Present model outputs and findings in clear, accessible formats to non-technical stakeholders and senior management

What You’ll Need:

*

A 2:1 or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or similar

*

Strong understanding of statistical methods, e.g., Bayesian and frequentist techniques

*

Solid grasp of core ML algorithms: regression models, random forests, neural networks, time series, etc.

*

Experience with SQL and Python (or similar programming languages)

*

Interest or exposure to large language models and prompt engineering is advantageous

*

An analytical mindset, problem-solving attitude, and eagerness to learn

*

Strong communication skills – both written and verbal

*

Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks/projects effectively
