Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

  • Create electrical schematics, layouts & wiring diagrams for a range of control panels up to large MCC

  • Produce all relevant documentation

  • Work hand-in-hand with workshop staff during panel build/assembly

  • Liaise with clients in person either in the Kent based workshop or on client site

  • Support testing of panels as needed

    Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

  • Proven experience of electrical design for control panels within industrial automation

  • Competent with electrical CAD - currently they use SEE-Electrical but training can be provided on this specific package

  • ideally, an understanding of industry standards such as IEC, UL or BS EN for electrical control panel design

    You will join a small team within the larger electrical department which has plans to continue growth. The majority of the projects are based within the South of England. You will work on panels for clients within fields such as Water & Utilities, Paper & Pulp and Energy from Waste.

    A friendly team with an open door management policy, they are keen to bring on board at least one if not two skilled Electrical Designers. Site work is very minimal and will involve some day trips for site surveys or commissioning support where needed.

    Located in Kent, this role would be commutable from Maidstone, Sittingbourne, Faversham, Canterbury, Rochester, Sheerness and Gillingham.
