We are actively recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join this hugely successful FMCG Food manufacturing business at their location in near Middlewich

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, this is a pivotal role within the site leadership team.

The Engineering Manager will be offered an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Engineering in a dynamic and rapidly growing FMCG / Food company. The equipment within the factory is diverse and ranges from process equipment to high-speed packing lines. The technology is also varied and includes mechanically orientated machines to “state of the art” robotic systems.

The Role

  • Play a hands-on role in proactive, preventative and predictive maintenance whilst assuming responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of a large team of skilled engineers.

  • Develop best practice maintenance systems which fully integrate with production activities.

  • Drive improvements, relating to maintenance, production quality and H&S

  • Ensure current legislation, regulations and best practices methods are always adhered to

  • This is a hands-on role requiring the ability to lead by example, train and mentor other engineers.

    The postholder would be encouraged to expand the role and drive structural changes where appropriate. The environment is one where substance and knowledge are well respected.

    This is a Monday – Friday DAYS ONLY role. This is a full time, permanent role.

    About you

  • A proven track record in a similar Engineering Management role within an FMCG business - managing a large team.

  • Strong prior experience of developing a systems-based approach to maintenance

  • Knowledge of lean principles, autonomous maintenance and reliability centred maintenance would be advantageous.

  • Proven engineering skills –coupled with an understanding of Electrical, Software, Instrumentation and Site Services.
