Role: External Sales Executive
Location: Yorkshire & Humber Region
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

Overview:
The purpose of the External Sales Executive role is to manage and develop relationships with existing and new customers within a designated geographical sales region. The role requires significant time spent on the road meeting customers face-to-face, ensuring strong engagement and business growth.

The position also involves collaboration with the internal sales team to maximise sales opportunities and support mutual customer efforts.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with customers, spending a significant amount of time on the road to maintain strong business relationships.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the designated sales region, expanding the customer base.
• Develop enquiries and prepare quotations & detailed contract proposals.
• Develop a strong understanding of our manufacturers and product offerings to effectively cross-sell and upsell.
• Work closely with the internal sales team at a branch level.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to proactively address market demands.

Skills / experience:
• Industrial Automation Sales background
• Driving Licence
• Strong sales and negotiation skills
• Excellent relationship-building and customer service abilities
• Ability to understand and communicate technical product information
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales

Additional Information:
• This role requires regular travel within the assigned sales region
• Some overnight stays may be necessary depending on business needs
