Flight/Avionics Software Engineer

London (Hybrid - 2/3 days a week)

£60,000-£65,000

My client is seeking a talented Avionics/Flight Software Engineer to join the team building cutting-edge assurance systems for aerospace and robotics applications. You will play a crucial role in developing software components that enable safe and reliable operation of technology enabled robotics and autonomous systems within the Robotics product line.

Responsibilities
● Design, develop, and implement robotic software components and algorithms for
perception, planning, control, and decision-making within the Robotics product.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including embedded software engineers,
systems architects, and AI/ML experts, to integrate software components seamlessly
into the overall system.
● Conduct rigorous testing, optimization, and validation of robotic software components
to ensure compliance with safety and performance requirements.
● Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's software development
processes, tooling, and methodologies for robotic systems.

Key Skills

  • Experience designing avionics software

  • Model based design/MATLAB/Simulink, plus languages such as C/C++, Rust

  • Experience developing safety-critical code, working with aerospace standards such as ARP4754, DO-178C, or similar

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on robotics software development.
